A Full Body Movement
Checking In - What happened in our day and the story of our lives doesn’t just live in the brain, it affects our breath, the tension in our shoulders, how we stand and much more. So we begin by taking a moment to acknowledge this connection.
Connecting The Body - The pilates equipment provides tension, support and guidance that allows us to experience our bodies differently. We can create space through activating different muscles, slowing down movement and feeling the bones muscles and tendons all work together to create our movement.
The Physical, Mental and Emotional - Finding the rhythm of your own body is achieved by connecting the breath and feeling how the movement works for you. All our bodies are different and therefore the exercises will be different for all of us. We don’t seek perfection, we aim for feeling and understanding.
We use the practice of Pilates to build a connection with you and your body to connect the physical, mental and emotional aspects of yourself. With this intention you achieve a greater sense of strength, harmony and balance.
Pilates can be used like any other exercise, as a way to move our bodies build strength and experience a dopamine release. However if we can go deeper and use it as a way to bring all the aspects of who we are as individuals into one practice, the possibility could be expanded exponentially. So, what does this look like?

“Better posture, more energy, no back pain, having my mind and body more in sync.”
